MEET THE BUILDER
Vasilis Sigletos is a musician and luthier born in Heraklion, Crete, Greece. From an early age he became a professional traditional Cretan Lute player and at the same time, at the age of 13, he began experimenting with the construction of traditional and folk instruments such as Mandolin, Bouzouki and Lute.
After having his first son attend classical guitar classes he started experimenting with classical guitar construction 20 years ago. He quickly became amazed by the construction and the sound of the guitar and thus this sparked his passion to achieve a great level of craftsmanship and sound on his instruments.
He exhibited and gave prizes at major guitar festivals such as: Volos International Guitar festival - Greece (now Athens International Guitar Festival), Forum Gitarre Vienna - Austria, Guitar Art Festival Belgrade - Serbia, Harmonia Cordis - Romania, Kalamata Guitar Festival - Greece, Cyprus Guitar Festival, Larissa Guitar Festival - Greece, Arpege Guitar Festival Kozani - Greece.
Many well known guitarists such as Costas Cotsiolis, Yorgos Nousis, Kimon Vintzileos, Manolis Androulidakis, Antonis Koufoudakis, Giannis Giakoumakis, Spyros Flourakis and Vasilis Kanaras trust and perform with his guitars.
